The Southern Fruit Festival - Suoi Tien Farm Festival 2023, taking place from June 1st to August 31st 2023, is an annual cultural and tourism event held at Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Area. Its purpose is to introduce to visitors the unique, diverse, and abundant varieties of fruits from different regions of Vietnam. It also aims to honor the achievements of farmers in the agricultural sector, preserve fruit sculpture art, and promote the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people.

         With the goal of expanding the Southern Fruit Festival’s scale to Southeast Asia, promoting Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam tourism to international tourists, and fostering cooperative relationships with countries around the world, Suoi Tien Farm Festival 2023 is organized by Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Joint Stock Company in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, and the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations. 

         Highlights of this year's festival: The official launch of the premium and rare fruit collection originating from various countries worldwide and grown at Suoi Tien Farm. With an area of over 5 hectares, Suoi Tien Farm applies organic greenhouse farming methods and advanced irrigation systems from Israel. By incorporating high-tech techniques from Japan, it produces fresh, delicious, clean, and safe products that meet VietGap standards.

         The festival will officially be held on June 1st, 2023, with the participation of the Vietnam Friendship Association with countries such as Vietnam - ASEAN, Vietnam - India, Vietnam - Indonesia, Vietnam - Cambodia, and more. Alongside outstanding artistic programs showcasing friendly exchanges between nations will bring a multi-national atmosphere to the festival, making it more impressive, unique, and contributing to the overall friendly cooperation and international relations of Vietnam in general, and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.

                                                                        SUOI TIEN FARM FESTIVAL 2023

1. Specialty Fruit Market

         Running from May 30th, 2023, to August 31st, 2023, the "Specialty Fruit Market" is the most memorable activity of the Southern Fruit Festival. Visitors will immerse in the fresh, cool, and nutritious flavors of hundreds of ripe seasonal fruits from different regions of the country.

         The "Specialty Fruit Market" gathers renowned fruit brands such as Lai Thieu Mangosteen, Cat Hoa Loc Mango - Ben Tre, Green-Skinned Pomelo from Ba Ro - Tien Giang, Thai Jackfruit from Tien Giang, Organic Honeydew Melon from Hoang Gia Sea, Dakado Avocado - Durian - Passion Fruit from Dak Lak, and agricultural products like Tien Giang Pomelo Wine, Trà Vinh Coconut Honey and Sugar, ST25 Rice, Omega 3 Rice, and products made from honey.

         Notably, this year's "Specialty Fruit Market" showcases the fruit collection from Suoi Tien Farm. These are high-quality fruits originating from countries globally, such as Indian Red Pomegranate, American Persimmon, Brazilian Cherry, Japanese Red Grape, Japanese Muscat Grape, French Black Velvet Grape, Taiwanese Golden Milk Breast Fruit, Taiwanese Ruby Pomegranate, and Japanese Apricot. All of these contribute to the richness, diversity, and expansion of the "Specialty Fruit Market" at the Southern Fruit Festival 2023.

2. The 12th edition of the "Safe and Delicious Fruits Competition in the South”

         On June 1st, 2023, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will partner with Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Joint Stock Company to hold a competition in the Southern region of Vietnam to identify the best fruits and growers. 

         This competition aims to evaluate and recognize the best fruits and growers in the Southern region of Vietnam. It provides a platform for farmers to exchange experiences, improve their farming techniques, and enhance the quality of their products. The competition also helps to promote the reputation of Vietnamese fruits in domestic and international markets.

3.The Fruit Sculpture Art Contest is a traditional activity at the Southern Fruit Festival.

         This year, the exhibition will showcase stunning sculptures made from various fruits, highlighting the creativity, skill, and artistry of the artisans. Visitors will have the opportunity to admire intricate fruit carvings, depicting famous landmarks, animals, and traditional cultural symbols of Vietnam.

This year's fruit sculpture art competition promises to bring visitors new and unique products with themes such as:

• Ho Chi Minh City - Green tourism

• Suoi Tien - Green lung in the heart of the city

4. The Giant Fruit Collection

Lively and colorful event, will take place on June 1st, 2023. Participants will march through the streets, showcasing decorative floats adorned with vibrant fruits and flowers. This parade aims to promote the beauty and cultural significance of fruits in Vietnamese agriculture while creating a festive atmosphere for locals and tourists alike.

5. Culinary Activities:

Over 20 dishes made from fruits and characteristic dishes from different regions of Vietnam will be served to visitors by the Suoi Tien restaurant chain throughout the summer. In addition, visitors can enjoy unique culinary art performances, including:

• Fruit beverage mixology art performances by the Ho Chi Minh City Bartender Association, featuring lively and enticing fruit-based drinks.

• Fruit culinary art performances by renowned chefs from the World Master Chefs Association in Vietnam, such as Le Nguyen Hoan Long, Deputy Chairman of the World Master Chefs Association in Vietnam and recipient of the Honorary Award Among the Top 25 World Master Chefs in 2023.

• Fruit carving and sculpting art performances, creating new and captivating displays of food art. This unique art form satisfies both the taste and visual senses, bringing excitement to every diner.

6. Exhibition with the theme "Suoi Tien - 30 Years of Establishment and Development"

For the first time at the Southern Fruit Festival - Suoi Tien Farm Festival 2023, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the more than 30 years of innovative development and growth of Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism - a significant, unique, and meaningful project that inspires patriotism and national pride as the "Dragon's Descendant."

In particular, visitors can discover the story of the birth of Suoi Tien Farm on previously arid and uncultivated land. Over nearly 3 years of construction, Suoi Tien has made continuous efforts to transfer modern technology from Japan, study and research each soil improvement process, and collect new and exotic plant varieties from around the world for experimental cultivation. Suoi Tien Farm applies high-tech and aims to become a clean and safe farming model that meets the health needs of visitors of all ages.

7. "The Fairy Quartet of Abundant Fruits Parade":

The "Fairy Quartet of Abundant Fruits Parade" showcases glamorous Fairy Blossoms dressed in impressive fruit-themed fashion collections, escorting the Fruit Deity to Suoi Tien to participate in the Southern Fruit Festival 2023 with the theme of Suoi Tien Farm Festival. The parade takes place at Suoi Tien throughout the summer, featuring hundreds of professional actors and 6 splendidly decorated and lively floats.

8. Outstanding Artistic Programs:

At the Southern Fruit Festival - Suoi Tien Farm Festival 2023, Suoi Tien invests in a series of free artistic programs for visitors throughout the summer. These programs include the Legend Stage of Son Tinh - Thuy Tinh at Hidden Dragon Lake, Don Ca Tai Tu Music Concert at the Coconut Farm, Ethnic Musical Instrument Performances, and Street Music Performances.

Notably, the festival features the participation of Vietnamese traditional musical instrument player Mai Dinh Toi, who is famous for his unique performance of playing flute while playing drum with his foot. He won the Silver Medal in the National Musical Instrument Performance Competition in 1992 and achieved titles such as Vietnamese Guinness Record, Golden Record, Amazing Vietnam, and was listed in the Guinness World Records book in 2006.

In addition, the Stage Show "Battle of Son Tinh and Thuy Tinh" presents skillful martial arts performances, providing visitors with enjoyable and entertaining moments.
