Cycling through Vam Sat mangrove forest

From the city center, via Binh Khanh ferry, you run another 35km to reach Vam Sat mangrove forest in Can Gio. Cycling a mountain bike on the trail through the mangrove forest will be very interesting if you are a nature lover. This place has fresh air, vibrant birdsong, and green trees on both sides. When cycling, you will occasionally encounter long-tailed monkeys that are bold and mild, not afraid of people. Deep inside is Dam Sau, there are a few dozen Siamese and Hoa Ca crocodiles that are isolated and carefully fenced.

At the end of the journey is an impressive feeling when you stand on the observatory at an altitude of 25m looking down at the immense mangrove forest, towards the confluence of the Vam Sat River and the unspoiled Lo Ren River. When the sunset gradually falls, it is also the time when thousands of storks return to the forest to sleep. Looking from the observatory, the treetops in the distance were swarms of birds and storks, sometimes silent, sometimes scurrying, and chirping like a symphony. The early and most abundant nesting are white storks, followed by gray storks, black storks, cormorants and the latest is darters. At Vam Sat, there are not only cycling but also countless other activities such as fishing, resting, visiting bats, walking and sightseeing. But it will be difficult to experience it all if you only come in a short day.
