The 19th edition of the International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC 2025), the largest and most prestigious international travel trade event in Vietnam and the Mekong sub-region, will officially take place from September 4–6, 2025, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

 

ITE HCMC 2025 will provide a professional, dynamic, and modern platform for Vietnam’s and the global tourism community to connect, collaborate, and explore business opportunities. The expo brings together tourism businesses from Vietnam and around the world—especially from Mekong sub-region countries—to showcase diverse tourism products, promote strategic partnerships, and exchange innovative ideas to advance sustainable tourism development.

 

The expo serves as a hub for domestic and international tourism businesses - especially those from the Mekong subregion countries - to seek business partners and showcase a rich array of products to global markets. It also provide a platform for businesses to explore new products and business models, advancing steadily toward sustainable tourism development; at the same time, localities and tourism enterprises will have the opportunity to introduce distinctive tourism products and unique experiences of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City to international visitors. More than just a trade show, ITE HCMC also acts as a thought-leadership forum, spotlighting emerging trends and fostering critical dialogue around the future of the tourism industry.

 

Honored as “Asia’s Best Trade Show” at the 2024 World MICE Awards, ITE HCMC reaffirms its stature and exceptional quality on the international stage. It is currently the only tourism expo in Vietnam with an International Hosted Buyer Program, which plays a vital role in boosting international tourist arrivals to the country.

 

Constantly expanding in scale and asserting its influence, ITE HCMC 2025 is expected to welcome over 520 exhibiting companies and brands, as well as 50 provinces and cities, along with 240 high-level buyers from more than 30 countries and territories. The event anticipates over 28,000 visitors and aims to facilitate 12,600 business appointments (B2B Meetings) between international buyers and sellers.

 

ITE HCMC 2025 is expected to feature 16 key activities, including trade connection events, forums, conferences, and seminars. In addition to domestic media agencies, there will be coverage from 60 international media, travel bloggers, and KOLs (an increase of 30% compared to 2024);

 

TPO 12th General Assembly – A Major Highlight

 

Notably, from September 3 to 6, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City will host the 12th General Assembly of the Tourism Promotion Organization for Global Cities (TPO) under the theme “Shaping the Future of Tourism: Embracing Digital and Green Transformation.”

 

The Tourism Promotion Organization for Global Cities (TPO) was founded in 2002 in Fukuoka, Japan, with the goal of building a network to promote tourism among cities in the region. Ho Chi Minh City proud to be one of the founding members and currently serves on the Executive Board, actively contributing to the organization’s development. To date, TPO has 131 member cities from 17 countries and territories. Hosting the 12th TPO General Assembly reaffirms Ho Chi Minh City’s position and responsibility as a TPO Executive Committee Member and highlights its leadership role in regional tourism development, enhancing the city’s international standing.

 

Co-located Event: Vietnam International Sourcing 2025

 

Moreover, for the first time, ITE HCMC 2025 will be held concurrently and at the same venue as the 3rd edition Viet Nam International Sourcing, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, featuring major activities such as the 2025 Export Forum and the Viet Nam International Sourcing 2025, which will gather nearly 500 Vietnamese enterprises showcasing tens of thousands of products representing various sectors within the global supply chain with an unprecedented number of participants, including over 300 reputable distribution channels and importers from more than 60 countries and territories.

ITE HCMC 2025 is not only about raising awareness of sustainable tourism, but also focuses on the creative development of new products and services that meet the growing demand for green and sustainable travel from both international and domestic markets.

ITE HCMC 2025 will take the lead in encouraging businesses and localities to highlight distinctive and unique tourism products, accompanied by vibrant experiences designed to impress international buyers and attract attention to Vietnam as a future travel destination. Reputable international buyers and international media will also be invited to join a destination familiarization program in Ho Chi Minh City – a special itinerary offering vivid and immersive experiences.
