Hai An Bookstore 

 

Hai An bookstore is widely known as one of the hottest spots in the city for international readers and visitors, via photos on Instagram. Located quite close to Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens, the facade of Hai An features a plain concrete wall with erratic embossed lines, catching attention from those passing by at first sight. Once entering, you might feel like getting lost in the ocean due to those blue painted walls, interspersed with an amazing marine animals mural. The ground floor houses tons of articles, and 2 huge seaweed trees rising up toward the skylight is its spotlight. Fahasa Nguyen Hue Bookstore covers an area of over 2000m2 on the bustling Nguyen Hue Walking Street. Since 1984, this place was the first in the city to transform from traditional selling model to optional book sales model. This was a paradise right in the heart of the city for readers in the 90’s. Today, the bookstore has a new appearance with modern facilities, space and lighting, civilized and professional staff. Hundreds of shelves are arranged orderly following each article. There are more than 120.000 national and ỉnternational titles, 500.000 copies equally, and nearly 10.000 items of stationery, toys and souvenirs.
