On 27/8/2019, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism held a press conference for the 15th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC 2019). All the key activities will take place in the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) from 4/9 to 7/9/2019.

After 15 years, the International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC) has affirmed its brand and become an annual and prestigious tourism event in the Mekong sub-region in both domestic and foreign markets, attracting hundreds of exhibitors as well as international buyers.

At the press conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism claimed: The event this year has many new features. According to the updated information in the afternoon, ITE HCMC 2019 attracted 258 international buyers (up to 573% compared to 2005) and 39 international press from 40 countries and territories (up to 666% compared to 2005). The organizers recorded 315 participating booths, up to 366% compared to 2005; the total area of the lobby is 8,800m2, 550% compared to 2005 and 45 provinces domestically. It is expected that there will be more than 6,000 business appointments between buyers and sellers, an increase of 600% compared to 2005, attracting about 35,000 trade visitors and the public to attend.

Mr. Michael Duck - Executive Vice President - Commercial Development, Informa Markets (Asia) declared: “In our 15th anniversary, we have expanded our exhibition space to two zones in the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), and extended operating hours from 9 A.M to 7 P.M on three days.
The event is free for visitors from 4 P.M on the first two days and the entire last day of the exhibition. Also, we would like to express our gratitude to SECC's management for their support in making ITE HCMC even bigger this year.
